Videocall learn share

Been having some good videocall sharing with Leen .. Her English fluency is so impressive. She was telling me about a school history project looking at the time Oostende flooded with a bad storm in North sea... The flooding affected Netherlands and Belgium.. The school had made leaflets to distribute to the local community for those that had been affected in 1953. Locals were invited to be interviewed by the children. Leen did an interview in Dutch ... so proud ..and she tells me about it all in English ... my Professor of Linguistics Princess ... I googled after our call and found this image of the floods.   

Leen wanted updates on Lulu and Pengu my two cats so she screenshot them in the call. Leen & Celine are always asking for me to bring my cats to Oostende on my next visit ... 

Oh my birthday parcel with my knitted purple cardigan Leen requested got sent back ..darn Brexit tax ... there is only a short time period to go to the collection point and pay to receive..while Bushra & girls were ill with flu so could not go to pay and collect. So I am planning to travel take it and we have a combined birthday party .Leen 9th Celine 7th my 70th .. my daughters wish to help me travel with ticket. When I do go Leen as asked me to teach her to knit and crotchet ..

Bushra Nail Art

Wow Bushra posted this on tik tok today and it is a wonderful exciting idea for her to merge her artwork into nail art. There is great potential when you look to manufacture in bespoke jewelry too. This year could well be an exciting one for her with hopefully magazine production of her Beauty boutique and online shop for product orders too. So between us this evening we are brainstorming ideas. It really is becoming a need to visit this year to see it all for myself.. The more I look at this the more I can see that celebrities would love bespoke nail art as exciting as this..

Birthday soon

Here we are in a New Year 2024 and of course Princess Leen's birthday in January she will be 9 years can you believe time as flown.  She requested this cardigan pattern again but in purple so I found some twinkle wool in purple. Its been my Christmas knit and finally finished this week with the addition of some glitzy buttons from Uxbridge. Now the need to try a parcel to Belgium. I am hoping I can go to visit in March as it is my 70th birthday and Princess Celine will be 7 years. I have missed going and lost a year of visits so a lot to catch up on. But I would like to try and get this cardigan to arrive for January birthday of Leen. 

Lets hope all the present chaos and turmoil in the world eases and we get some peace in this new year. But is really feels a challenge at the moment.. so prayers for a Happy New Year to all.

Happy Birthday to an amazing Lady Bushra... a talented artist and now rebuilding her life with a Beauty Boutique business .. I really need to visit Belgium in the New Year to see this... We need a catch up celebration 🎈🎉🎈🎉

had some Christmas time with Juliya my Ukrainian friend here in Ruislip West London was a good family gathering as the children's grandfather was able to visit on leave from Ukraine. I hope one day my Syrian family children can meet with my Ukrainian family. Between Teo, Vera, Leen & Celine the languages spoken are English, Arabic, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Dutch, French .. United Nations Professors of Linguistics. 😊

⛄⛸🐧 Ice Skating

I have missed my visits to Belgium this year to share time and fun with Leen & Celine. The cost of living and some additional pressures prevented my trips. The brexit parcel customs charge to receive my gift parcels frustrating. My parcels are to be enjoyed not a financial burden. I have found a nice place for gifts in Ruislip but the tradesmen realise the brexit issue.  

Lets hope 2024 for my 70th birthday I will be able to visit and have some major catch up time. 🙏🤲💞
