Todays main project complete introducing my Syrian family to the Doctors of the World in Athens....so now they have a knowledge where to go for help....but can also apply to help the team....even within 15 mins of being there some of the Syrian patients were asking my family to explain something......so we are connected.... Bless this team of volunteer doctors nurses and social workers they are coping with so many problems and clinical conditions...... was good to be welcomed as Retired Nurse and Midwife from London.... and sure is enough for me to help with too...!!!!

I enjoyed being in the field and helping.....Boshra's family as you know my dear followers are now in Belgium and so longing to go and visit but no funding to do so and to help her get some necessary art materials and educational resources for the children.... who are now speaking Arabic, French & English and about to learn Dutch..... we did pick up some words of Greek when in Athens too.... lol for me it is like deciphering scientific formulae...with all the mu, pi & Sigma.
This was achieved on a small lump sum from my NHS pension but that is eroded now and I am on a very limited DWP payment of funds now and being born in 1950s denied my State Pension until 66yrs and now I am 64yrs..... I really need some help to continue this project with donations, sponsors, grants and paid work offers....My Profile for Paid Work.... You can see I am alive and shining as me, Marjorie when I can get out and help and be with the family. Sadly I only get volunteer work offered by NGOs so struggle with living expenses and managing this personal befriending Family Link Up project. As you know I have even written to Jean Claude Juncker and EU parliament they commend all I do but there is no funding for individual carer/befrienders, only NGOs but then the NGOs rely on volunteers with very little paid posts to apply for .. so I am in catch 22!

It would be good to get more interactive books and bilingual books plus education games and toys. Also some art materials for Boshra so she can paint and sell her artwork in the local markets and online.
