I got some lovely photos and messages from Boshra yesterday in facebook messenger. The parcel I sent last week has arrived with the bargain boots I picked up from the local Age UK shop round the corner from me. She had been amazed as she was worrying how to afford winter boots for Celine on top of the need to get Leen her school clothes too..... She is over the moon that these boots fit and are stylish too.... Can't wait to tell the staff that we have linked up beautifully. In the parcel was the pale lavender jumper I knit and the hooded knitted cardigan from the Age UK regular knitter.... I also got a lovely photo of Leen with her school playmates but I cannot share this with you as have not be able to ask permission from their parents so I respect this. I also wrote a letter to Leen's school teacher I did this in powerpoint and transformed to a jpeg for Boshra to store on her iphone. I have introduced myself to the staff through this letter and asked if there is any help with beds and furniture for the apartment. they are sleeping on the floor with no beds. I hope you dear readers can help with donations of funds as there is a really good furniture store near by to them with great children bed designs as reasonable prices......I did a google search and was impressed with the styles and prices. Can you help me raise £1000 for the trip over to Belgium and to get provisions for them, more art materials for Boshra so she can market her work and educational books and toys for the girls... Leen needs school clothes
We need to get some baking things for the new home kitchen and do some baking together :-) Stock the freezer up for the coming months. Can we do this together dear helpers? let me know of ideas such as coffee mornings and sponsored runs or cycles... anything that can help this project.
