art in Turkey

Have been doing my Global ward round to check on my refugees... Had to get an update in Turkey as one was ill with tummy pains... we are putting down to stress and another has an operation on her eye tomorrow.... I spotted this wall art and wanted to know more... I love peacocks from not only my days in India but we had a near by mansion when I lived near Airedale hospital and they would have peacocks calling in the grounds..... so lots of nice memories of this amazing bird...... When I found out it is Dante's auntie making artwork out of old pieces of clothing and rags.. if you remember round Christmas she did a blossom tree for Christmas.....But I was amazed even further when they showed me more of her work..... she is very talented for sure..... I am going to get them to get some day time clearer photos for me to share with you all... But impressed with the art and design...... 

Today been a challenging day for me and so missing the others in Belgium feels sad not to have been with Boshra and Celine for the first birthday...but if I can get some funds I will be able to visit in the warmer weather....... and now so much wish I can go on to Turkey to fully assess all there...... for a past traveller like me when I was working and earning as a midwife this is a bitter pill to swallow, being tied down in one spot unable to get all the aspects of Family Link Up project developed..... and clearly we have a need for art materials in Turkey and for Boshra in Belgium... and who knows they maybe able to earn from their artwork.
