Two strong little big women Princess Leen and Princess Celine to celebrate International Women's Day. Syrian princesses that are international Leen born in Turkey, been in Greece in the camps and now in Belgium... speaks Arabic, English & French and about to learn Dutch and only 3 yrs old. Celine born in Greece and lives in Belgium.. and only turned 1 yr old.... Showed determination and strength by walking at 9 months old... So so ready to see them again and visit them in Belgium. I hope you can help with some funding to help me travel there and do some necessary shopping for them.
Here is to Boshra an brilliant mother to Leen and Celine... remember I would like to get her some art materials so she can develop her artwork for her life rebuild.
I remember the womenfolk in the camps and how they are amazing no matter the circumstances they try to hold their families together. Make whatever living space they have home. Always busying cooking cleaning washing clothes caring for the children. I salute them with this post too.
Do you remember when they sent me all their baby photos for New Year in Jan 2017... I wonder what has happened to them all... I wish I could get some updates on all in the camp that have been resettled around Europe.
I have just completed a grant application for one of the women refugees in Turkey that is developing in journalism. It has been amazing to see her resume and to feed her plans for an amazing project for the womenfolk.. More on this later. I hope she is successful in getting the grant... but from reading all she does now she is a success... with great strength and determination to better the lives of women. So I salute Rukaia with this post too....She has taught me much over the last few hours of reading her work.
