Happy Easter from Family Link Up- I have not posted for awhile as I have been really ill with a chest infection... and narrowly missed being admitted to hospital... The course of antiboitics not effective and I am for GP review tomorrow. Felt awful not being able to get out and about. But thank goodness for the internet and being able to keep in contact with my family here in the UK and my refugee families. They have all been good with me sending prayers and get well messages. Ahmed sent his love in a box to me hhhh from Turkey and Leen became an Easter bunny for me from Belgium.... Celine is well adventuresome now as they have been give a play car... so my determined little big lady is ready to drive her first "car"... I am still so longing to visit them but clearly I need the better warm weather and to recover from this darn chest infection. Do you know I have not had such a chest infection since 1991 that was when I gone to India and had to then go back to Romania to talk at a conference in Tirgu Mures where I had been helping with the orphans there..... My trip to India had been to see a spiritual teacher there and he had sent a speech for me to give to the Romanians... I have had some amazing things happen in my life. While I was laying in fever was thinking over all I have done. It is just such a shame and big frustration that I am not at this stage of my life a woman of substance to self fund all the projects I want to do with Family Link Up. I am still reliant on needing fund raisers and donation supporters. Any ideas of funding and grants please let me know.... I have some grant applications in the pipeline but awaiting notification of short listing. I have even entered a poetry competition in the hope of getting some prize money. I do have the consultancy for NYR but do not seem to be attracting any online customers.. which is a shame as the 25% commission on sales would help enormously and I could generate goodies to create Pamper Hampers to raffle..
An update from my online ward rounds in Turkey - one of my refugees is needing an endoscopy for epigastric pain today... please send love and prayers. Most of all the illnesses seen are stress related as you can imagine the enormity of all that folk have gone through and are continuing to endure in challenges. All everyone is needing is to regain their lives and financial dignity to regain dreams and hopes for the future.... we have as I have told you before so many skills and expertise among the refugees to be a great asset to all the host countries.
On that point do remember I am needing funds to get Boshra some art materials so she can follow her love of artwork. This would be a chance for her to earn too.....
