Keeping the kids warm

Got some photos in to share with you with the family permission of my knitwear and blanket arrived and being used in Turkey. lol I am assured my young man Ahmed does like his "I love you!" cardigan but he is a bit tetchy with teething..hence the tears in the pose... bless him.  The blanket I crocheted with the wool that my daughter got me for this purpose but put in some wool from other cardigans I have knit for their cousins in Belgium - so nice to link up the family this way. The baby has some of the knitwear from Age UK store knitter and from Carol in Uxbridge

With your help I can keep them warm and safe...

URGENT FUEL FOR WINTER

URGENT URGENT URGENT

Winter is coming now again and the families in Turkey will need funds for winter clothes, food and firewood for the wood burner... we have an elderly mother and young babies to keep warm and safe.

Unicorn Model

Boshra sent photos of Leen in her Unicorn Cardigan that I made her.... she looks good in it too...it will be nice and snug and warm for this winter...  

Can you help me raise funds for the trip over to Belgium and to get provisions for them, more art materials for Boshra so she can market her work and educational books and toys for the girls... Leen needs school clothes. Boshra needs some furniture particularly beds as they are sleeping on the floor at the moment. There is a reasonable furniture store near where they are housed. So we can give the local trader some business if there is the funds to purchase. We need to get some baking things for the new home kitchen and do some baking together :-) Stock the freezer up for the coming months. Can we do this together dear helpers? let me know of ideas such as coffee mornings and sponsored runs or cycles... anything that can help this project

Yea Bettys cakes arrived - Yorkshire lasses now in Belgium :-)

I am so grateful to a donation from a friend in Cumbria so what I decided to do... I ordered some northern England treats from our Yorkshire tea rooms Bettys A famous company that all our tourists and locals flock too to enjoy their deliciously made cakes and chocolates.... The order arrived this morning in Belgium -  and I think from the photos just in from Boshra they well and truly have the Syrian seal of approval as tooo yummy to resist when the box was opened... lol  Boshra is well pleased with this treat... and I fully intend to send more too... I love Family Link Up - for the power of Linking up..

Parcel developing to send

The Seed Pencils I ordered have just come now for me to post on to Boshra and the girls... I will get Boshra to show the teacher at Leen's School as this is a great idea from SproutWorld also need to get them promoted at the local schools here in the my area.   With more funds will get a big box of these to send to the community in Turkey too.

I have got some dual language books too for Leen in English and Dutch to keep up her growing polyglot skills... she is amazing and now teaching her sister Celine. 

Celine came on skype the other day and she is counting now in Arabic and not even 2 yrs old... Love the sparkiness in the girls. Boshra is a good mother for teaching them too. Good to see them have a good giggle - they had just seen Lulu one of my cats they love the cats.

Got some dates and maftoul today from the Oxfam Uxbridge shop as getting another parcel together for Boshra... already sent her the glass art materials but now also getting some bargain dual language books for Leen - Dutch and English.  I am so grateful to friends seeing all I am doing - that they are teaming to help me! Feeling the love and respect - thank you!

Been a wonderful day today here in Hayes... actually met up with one of the relocated Syrian refugees in the UK gov quota... amazing the timing of me being at the bus stop at the same time as this young lad going to the Mosque... So invited him round to skype call with Dante and Boshra.... I must get him to meet up with John McDonnell our MP and Lord Dubs. It is great we have him in our community. I hope I can speak at the school he goes too.  

And pop over to my Marjorie's Yard Kidney Research Page as some amazing love sharing going on with my family and locals...teamed up with my eldest daughter to fund-raise for Kidney Research UK as my daughter is a renal patient - to thank the team for their care.  So managing two main projects now that I can run in parallel and be symboitic.... there is a lot of power in linking up to help one another.
