Busy Update

The girls have been busy with the parcels I have sent. They enjoy the activities and the book where you can use coloured finger printing to complete pictures was a winner. I have  had time with Leen when Celine was asleep looking at the Kleine KinderBoeken to help to help with Dutch word building and recognition. They are beautiful illustrated and cover everyday words, shapes and numbers. So it helps me too. They have enjoyed and completed the sea jigsaw that I sent. This has served as good vocabulary builder in any of the target languages.
The lockdown as been lifted for the children to go to school..I had a lovely morning call waking me up with them full of energy all dressed & excited to go back to school and see their friends and teacher.  I had questions in English to answer lol Why is it dark...? lol I had my curtains close as was asleep... lol why you asleep..?. hhhhh was so funny... but so so cute.

June lockdown opening

Oostende is opening up to residents beach, shops & market plus schools open today. ..The girls have been having fun seeing their footprints in the sand on their first walk to the beach since lockdown.....then we looked at animal paw & footprints. I am going to get some print pads to send too.
Love connected times with Leen she was telling me in English all about a film she had seen about a cartoon adventure under the sea.
We had a laugh as she showed me a film of a boy having an haircut spikey like the image below...and how it looked like an hedgehog hhhhh

I have managed to get kinder boeken on Amazon so I have been reading the Lion & the mouse in Dutch to help me learn and vocabulary gleen..  The books are in the post now so looking forward to sharing time over skype discussing this story.

More maths fun over messenger and video footage.. The book I have sent for us to complete the sums and exercises together.  Hopefully soon I will be able to travel to see them.

Another jigsaw on its way to the girls..we did this over Skype with me here in Hayes so next is for us to complete in Oostende over skype. Celine loves jigsaws as she can team up with her big sister and mummy finding the pieces to fit. They are brilliant for language development in any target language. I have found a creative business on twitter that makes all sizes of jigsawa for all age groups. Plus floor jigsaws Just Jigsaws so will be placing orders as I can round a budget of funds
