Art Materials donations purchase update

Thank you for the donations from last Monday - Boshra got some art materials from an Oostende shop... and I have some sale bargain orders waiting for delivery to me to forward to her.... the Cowley & Wilcox site has been putting some good offers on.... So ordered a portable easel for her to use in any location, as Boshra is by the sea, interesting parks, markets and a short train journey to Bruges for the scenic waterways  to paint .. I will show the easel  when it arrives... and have put in an order for acrylics and other bits and bobs I will show you...  The course she is studying on is exposing her to the use of different mediums and techniques.. 

But we are spotting bargains so getting a lot for your donations... :-)  

I am  enjoying this project as I love art... was at an art fair in Kensington at the weekend - networking, meeting artist and looking at techniques both artwork and business techniques....  I have been made aware of art sales sites the artists use... so opening up a great pathway for Boshra to build her life on.....

There are textile prints ideas too...
The buzz of being round creative people is so energising...

Bewitching ....enchanted....

The Halloween outfits have arrived and were waiting for the girls to come back from school to try on ... well they came home tried them on and now will not take off hhhhh So Bewitched and beguiled and enchanted they are with the sweet pretty witch outfits for the Halloween dance.. me thinks the outfits will have worn out by the time Halloween Dance comes... hhhh

Dance School - Halloween

Today Boshra showed me an email from the Elevation Dance Academy about the Halloween plans for the dancers... So I have had great fun in the Local Hayes Sainsburys Store getting bargain outfits for both Leen and Celine.  In view of all the family have been through I felt something pretty better than something ghoulish... So found these pretty Witch outfits complete with hats too lol  They have just been laughing at me on Skype wearing one of the hats...These will be going off in the post tomorrow for them. When Boshra called me earlier both the girls were at the local infant school so she is feeling she can capture afternoons to work on her art. But this week all of us have been struggling to concentrate distracted by the worry of recent events by the Turkish/Syrian border.   We are pulling our focus to rebuilding for the future and living so were discussing designing an Art Signature Logo for her artwork.  This will be a good move as she builds up her name in the art world. She is going shopping for more art materials at the local Action shop with funds sent to her with grateful thanks. I will upload a photo of purchases when she has them.

Monday Update

It has been a busy time for me continuing to network attending conferences and meetings. I have also had a loyal NYR customer order through Marjorie's Yard so this has yielded commission for me to put in the Art Materials fund for Boshra which I have sent today and she says "Thank You so much!..." In the photo slide above you will see Princess Leen ready to set off to ballet and is stood in front of one of Boshra's abstract paintings.. and the other photo is a screen capture from a video sent of Princess Leen singing a new Dutch song to me with Princess Celine trying to learn the words too... so cute as when she is not able to get the words she hums to the music... lol 

It is so important to get their lives rebuilt... we are in a great state of worry with what is happening by the Syrian/Turkish border and getting updates from family there... Prayers they keep safe... we must keep trying to help and rebuild lives. 

Thank you to another donation in today for the Art Materials from Debi... a wonderful woman that has helped me before when Boshra was in the Eleonas Camp in Athens..   So good to work together as a Global Family link up to help rebuild lives.

Weekend of Link Up sharing

I have had a brilliant weekend networking and sharing at both Brunel Hillingdon Literary Festival but also attended a conference at Kings College for Syrian Youth - Innovative Syrian Conference It was good to be accepted and recognised for all I am doing with my befriending in this Family Link Up project of mine.  I have some new pointers for seeking funding and have been showed a process for problem solving. My problem being the need for funding as my personal funds cannot reach all the potential of this project. So I will be doing a self analysis and Design thinking over the next few days to lift the blocks to targets.    I am stuck on the mark with donations for the necessary art materials for Boshra's course and project work. I am focusing on this as art will be a way to rebuild her life as she markets her work.

Link Up tonight was fun

✿ღ¸╭•⊰✿

Been a wonderful evening of Family Link Up.. One of my Granddaughters, Olivia went with me to the Hillingdon Literary Festival at Brunel University. She is studying at the moment at Uxbridge College Media Studies and becoming a good reporter and creative writer...  Her plan to study for a BA in Creative Writing... Tonight was very touching for me as I have had worked published in past years of the Hillingdon Literary Festival if you remember dear followers... A poem Dante wrote, I translated and adapted to English Umbilical Cord to Motherland and a poem I wrote about Princess Leen  When we arrived at the University it felt like being part of the creative writers family too. Olivia and me had a great time and will be on campus on Sunday too. 

Then when I got home Boshra had sent me some footage and photo of the girls at their local Octoberfest in Oostende.

So we have simultaneously be out having fun and sharing a good time. 

Great link up time to feel connected Brunel and Oostende..!

We are putting calls for help with Art Materials for Boshra and those that know about the project are thrilled she is studying art and this could be a way forward to rebuild her life for her family. Be part of the story with your help!

October Link Ups

Good when sat alone in the house to be surrounded by images and reminders of family and new friends met in what has been a busy year thus far..  I love the artwork by Boshra from my Family Link Up project and the colourful heart from Monique a lovely new friend from Oostende....My heart is wishing to be back in Oostende with Boshra and the girls as this last visit I truly felt absorbed in the community.
