There is also some exciting news in that a group of Syrian women have come together and set up an Emporium Souk in Oostende. They have pooled their artistic and creative talents to produce ceramics, jewellery, art on canvas, trinkets clothing and edible goodies too. I am so proud of them all...and wish I could travel over to see and help them. below are some still shots from an Arabic film that has been produced, but Bushra will get me some photos to share too. I think this is a brilliant project to help them and the local economy. There is a major power in being able to link up and integrate into the community through art. I love the T-shirt art and am sure the Belgium folk will too for stylish leisure wear.
We are still needing funds for Art Materials for Boshra.
