Dance book

had a visit to Windsor yesterday and spotted this book in Waterstones its a lovely storyline about a little girl Luna that feels alive when dancing but had a trip and fall in her ballet exam.  It shows that that does not mean the end of dancing. The colourful illustrations are very appealing and reflect the colour in life from music and dance to music.  I have got a copy for an up and coming birthday of Princess Vera who is attending ballet classes.  But I would love to get another copy for Leen and Celine.. Now lies the problem of sending by post or courier to Belgium and the Brexit customs issue! I do miss sending weekly or fortnightly parcels to keep love connections. I may have to wait till I visit next time.  Though I have sent some jpeg captures of some of the pages to Leen & Celine in messenger to see and read.  Plus give me feedback on to buy a copy for them.

😊building a clinical team! 💞

My stethoscope from my clinical practice is proving a winner with not only my Syrian princesses Leen and Celine but little Vera too my Ukrainian princess, here in West London.  If you remember when I took my stethoscope to Oostende Belgium Leen proceeded to tell me all about the heart its chambers and even the P QRS T waves on an ECG! Apparently they had not long completed a project at school on this.. wow she does retain so much knowledge!

Little Vera was fascinated by listening to the Lub Dub sound of the heart beat.  But then told me "I have stethocoat" hhh was so sweet as she had not mastered the pronounciation of stethoscope... She promptly took me to her bedroom toys and produced a toy Stethoscope so was so much fun pretending to be doctors and nurses. I am building a clinical team. Wonder if they will venture into medical, nursing and midwifery professions.

Europe fun on videocall

Last time Leen and me had a videocall she came up with a good idea. Remember the staff in the Europe House, London had given me some EU goodies for my family link up project.  Leen has a copy of this laminated map of Europe and EU country members with flags. I have a copy too so she said, "lets play a game of finding a country!" So there we were she in Oostende and me in Hayes West London playing this game. We took turns in asking the other where is Portugal? where is Austria? etc.  She was good and at one point was asking me to find the Orkney Isles!! so that took us on a conversation of Scotland and the surrounding islands.
When she struggled to find a country I challenged her with ....I would help her by getting her North South West East compass bearings from her locality. The last visit where I took a compass remembered by her.

Then we looked at flags and tested one another on which flag belonged to which country! It was good fun.  We don't get to call one another as often as before and I miss our fun games online ...but I miss visiting too.  This year with the high cost of living here in the UK I will not be able to go till maybe later in the year.  I keep also looking out for a package holiday with a hotel and swimming pool as it would be fun for the girls to visit there and enjoy the pool and jacuzzi and  Bushra if we can tempt her to get confident in the water! So glad that both Leen and Celine are getting swimming lessons at school now ..so important for sport fun and safety...
