Call for a team build to help me

There is a call for winter shoes and clothes from both Boshra in Belgium and from Dante in Turkey for the children and adults. Boshra priced some ankle boots for Leen for me and this pair in the picture are 24.99 Euros.... she was saying like many mothers the children are growing so fast and the shoes and boot need becomes a burden to what little funds that they get.  

I am calling out for a team of supporters to contact me.  I need fundraisers, help with finding grants and sponsors too.  I would like to build the financial pot up enough for myself and teams to go out and assess the situation and needs to help make reports. A look in Uxbridge for kids shoes and boots and prices.  They are more expensive than those in Belgium and would need postage; but the downfall is kids need to be fitted with the right size to ensure no foot problems.

It would be best to buy local.  But just seen on the Clarks website they do have a store in Brussels... I need to write to them to see if they can help too. 
If I have a good budget I can negotiate a deal so all my plans have to have some funding!

Little sister gets to parcel first lol

Well impressed with the parcel post to Belgium but then it is not far away.  So frustrating folks would love to nip over and see them even if for a bargain weekend break... but I really needs some funds.  As you know I am trying to find paid work, looking for sponsors, fundraisers and donations.

and although there are French childrens books of course in Belgium

I did find this lovely shop in South Kensington in the French area of London. 

All the children's books I get are with clear pictures of the story and interactive so that Boshra can also translate into Arabic. They be used in English and French too.. Confusing - no! not with our little ones they are absorbing the languages so well.

While I am grateful for internet link, skype and sending parcels I am so so ready for spending time with Boshra and the girls..... to have hand to hand touch and cuddles and laugh and play.  To see the whole situation and meet the volunteers and teams in Belgium.

Books on their way

Another parcel on its way with the children's books that I have been collecting and spotting over the last few weeks. Librarians get interested as I go to print out the label and do the final taping up there... Then my local post office makes sure it is on the way. 

 Then I spotted this cute little pinafore dress for Celine in the local Age UK charity shop... if you remember I have picked up bargains there before.  Some of our young mothers are donating children's clothes that have never been worn or had little wear... I just need to look out for a pink top for underneath and some pink tights to match the pink detail in this... I can see her in it.... was telling the lady volunteer in the shop and she is looking forward to photos of Celine wearing this... Love from our local community. 

It reminded me of my first grand daughter and we bought her a kilt to wear... like I would buy for my daughters hhhhh that grand daughter is twenty years old now... this is what I am conscious of time passes and the babies grow and would really like to have more time with the Syrian family.  It would be good for my family to travel with me one time to meet up...

 Happy Celine and it is good to know we are all caring 

for those in need of rebuilding their lives.

Art for Boshra

Had a lovely facebook chat with Boshra last night.  It started off with me spotting some pencils that sprout plants... I will show you in a minute in this blog post for you to see and understand I am not going crazy hhhhh 

Boshra and me say we really must get some of those pencils for Leen and her school as it will be fascinating. 

But as we chatted Boshra told me she loves artwork.  I have seen how she keeps "like"ing any art work I share on the facebook page... but it turns out alongside her Business Admin studies she did artwork too as relaxation.  She would paint with oils and also loved glass painting.  So this has got me thinking dear followers and readers of my Family Link Up project.. We really need to get some funds for art materials.... not only for the children but for Boshra too.  I had suggested this last year if you read back as part of Art therapy for the post traumatic stress.   I am also seeing that this may be something to help Boshra not only heal but earn as she gets her work seen.  So I am looking forward to what she can do.....  We have Bovilles Art supplies here in Uxbridge that had last year offered to maximise the amount of material bought with a specific fund raised budget.... and they could help with gallery display too..... 

I have also google searched for a supply shop in Liege Brussels there is one outlet that stands out and is on facebook to that of Schleiper. 
http://www.schleiper.com/  So if we have some funds we can give some trade to the local traders too. This as you know is one of my Family Link Up goals to link up traders so refugees are not seen as burden but blessing as we help them with their trade to supply for the refugee needs. It all helps to integrate into the community.  We have amazing examples of this here in Yorkshire in Huddersfield and Sheffield where refugees have enhanced communities and even set up businesses. Like Razan that has made a successful cheese making business with our local dairy farmers in Yorkshire creating Yorkshire Dama Cheese and commended by Princess Anne and been featured on Nadiya's best of British cookery series.  So we can turn the story round to being amazing for all as we become a Global Family Link up. 

Right now those sprouting pencils which I think is a Dutch idea... and so so fun I want to have a go myself with them ..

Frustratingly close

Got Heathrow on my doorstep, Eurostar in London and the coaches to Europe! So easy for me to get to see the family in Belgium to make and assessment of needs for winter and to simply have some time together.   But I have no funds to do this..... Also there is a pressing need to help the family in Turkey before the winter months set in...... I evidence all I do and write up reports for the UNHCR here in London and my MP.  I am a direct link up to this family. Hand to hand link up. Be part of the story with me...

Little hands growing...

Little hands are growing and I am longing to visit and see the girls again and to see how they are in the new location of Belgium... I would like to see the teams in the Belgium Red Cross and assess what they need for us to help with their support of the refugees to be resettled.   Looking at Celine in this picture from March when she was newly born is so sweet and now she is sitting up rolling around playing with toys.  Below is her playing so happily with the musical rabbit I sent....

School today

School today for the refugees in the camp including Princess Leen

I am still needing funding for my Syrian Refugee Family Link Up project. I would like to go and visit Boshra, Leen and Celine in their new camp in Belgium.  Also would like to get to Turkey to see Dante and finally be able to meet his mother. I have skype link and it is wonderful to see her so happy now with her family.  But to get out and see them would be good and to report on the situation in the community would be good.  I have also concern for the coming winter and the schooling of children. So would like to send some educational material to Belgium and to Turkey.  Dante can distribute the books and materials to the local community children and to his other sister still in Suleman Shah camp.  
I am a hand to hand link up ...
