Let the packing begin..

Feeling really happening now as i start the packing for the trip to Eleonas Camp Athens... The local chemist was good and given me some discount on some packs vitamins so got some for Leen and some for Boshra...and some to send out to Dante in Turkey.  The refugees need lots of Vit B complex to help them as they get waves of utter exhaustion. It is the post traumatic stress and the constant catecholamine effect of the persistent trigger flow of adrenaline from stress.  How to explain..... it is like you have your foot depressed on the accelerator of a car but with brake and hand brake on so all that energy is being released but going no where.. and not really needed as not in a danger situation... But your inner emotions keep triggering adrenaline... and when you sleep you have false back nightmares to cope with so it all takes it toll.

There are some goodie treats put in the bag too - chocolates and that too is good as stimulates endorphins to give feel good factor.... All things we sort of take for granted as we live our daily lives in peaceful countries.

I am of course taking a budget out with me to help the local Greek traders with some products and will go to a nice supermarket I have found near the UNHCR in Athens to get a good grocery shop...and looking forward to the Sunday fresh fruit and vege market that comes outside the camp we can get some tasty food cooked between us all.

Lol must not forget to pack somethings in for me to wear but in all honesty I am a fling some scrubs on kinda girl to just get on with the job of caring and helping.  I am known for taking a little for myself and managing with a little....

I am also getting a parcel together to get out to Dante in Turkey for him and the kids around him.  I have put the donated Turkish Children's books from Pan Macmillan in his parcel so he can nip round to the IMPR humantarian centre to give these for their educational programme.  As of course the Syrian refugees are learning the their host country language - Turkish.

Thank you Kind Hearts more updates to come.
