Royal Colleges day today :-)

Been in the Royal College of Nursing today in London... it is handy me having my travel freedom pass.... Had a good afternoon searching through this Grants register.... it is massive book and the cost of it you would need a grant to buy it lol ..... Excellent resource for me to find some long term help with this Family link up project and for grants for the family to expand on their academic studies...... plus see if I can help some Midwives and Nurses with grants too ...if they would like to specialise in caring for the needs of refugees......

Very pleasant afternoon then walk around the corner to the Royal College of Midwives on Mansfield Road....
Absolutely wonderful to have time with Prof Lesley Page the President of the RCM.... and good to see her again from my time at St Thomas's... once a midwife always a midwife... We had a good time sharing on the situation of the refugees and their maternity needs......

Good that one another have been to Athens to see the camps... But was brilliant to share my time actually staying in the camp...

There are moves to shift maternity care into more midwifery led care... At the moment it is as Boshra is experiencing, this stay in post natal ward no matter mode of delivery and siblings not permitted in the ward.  All we need is some good Sister power and we can team up with other international midwives on this mission.

This project of Family Link Up is truly my life and it opens up so many aspects of lives needs and the chance to link up so many facets of care as a Global Family.  I have to keep this energy going to help the younger ones... and our future generations.... We need some good sister power to buffer the negatives in this world....
Family Link Up be part of the story.....
